# Reading the cluster

`ExtensionContext.read_cluster()` supplies an immutable snapshot of observed nodes and their telemetry. It is a local read without a network round trip.

## How it works

Missing telemetry means unknown. A tag identifies a possible provider; describe its contract and recheck admission before calling. Do not turn a partial snapshot into a claim that every node is healthy.
